PIPE LINE SERVICES

Pre Commissioning Services

Provides following services for new pipe line installation
- Hydro testing
- Cleaning
- Drying

Specialized Cleaning

- Pipe fitting fabricators are now painting their fitting with a lacquer or other type coating to prevent rusting while in storage. if your QA/QC does not specify require that this protective coating be removed before fabrication, then your system now include fitting coated with this protective paint.
- GPS has developed a paint removal solvent that can remove these coating using a proprietary water soluble cleaning method used at low or ambient temprature.
- No expensive hydration or chlorinated solvents to buy that will require even more expensive off site disposal.

Pipeline internal cleaning

Pipeline Pigging

- Pipeline pigging is performed during new construction, pipeline repair and maintenance or as an operational cleaning tool. pigging is also essential in areas of decommisioning, abandonment and subsequent removal of pipelines.

AQUA Pigging

- This method can be performed prior to chemical cleaning or as a stand alone process. In this process non alkaline detergents can be employed to remove oil& detergent soluble organic materials. These formulations are designed to meet environmental requirements of most plant sites.
- This method is performed at very high velocities as compared to thermal settling velocities of debris. This method maintains constant high velocities even over long lengths and multidirectional changes in piping systems.

Water Milling

- Water Milling is a process that uses high/low volumes of water at high pressure to clean the internals of pipe work. The actual water nozzles are at close proximity to the surface thus giving maximum abrasive effect with minimum dissipation of pressure loss. The milling effect is achieved by the controlled rotation of the heads and the speed of feed through the pipe. Quality of the surface finish can be achieved to S.A2.5.

Water Milling Benefits

  • 1 Reduces steam blow times by more than half after all debris has been water milled from the pipes prior to blowing.
  • 2 Removal of debris and product residues from process lines
  • 3 Clean pipe diameter in the range from 3" up to 3 meters.
  • 4 Any type of steel process pipe can be cleaned effectively.
  • 5 The hose feed and rotational speeds can be adjusted to ensure that the correct nozzle dwell time is achieved at the pipe inner surface, to achieve the cleanliness level needed.
  • 6 The rotating hose system, coupled with the hose drive unit, can feed and retract the hose into horizontal lines up to 500 meter in length.
  • 7 The more bends that are encountered in a pipe will however reduce the pipe length cleanable accordingly, due to friction encountered though the bends.
  • 8 When cleaning from a bottom entry point, vertical lines of up to 100 meters high heve been cleaned.
  • 9 The hose can change direction through multiple bends in the line as a controlled by the operator, including U-bends.

Air Blowing

  • - The quick bleed-off of air moves debris out the line a like a conventional pig.
  • - Remove debris, purge paper, plugs, foam and end caps
  • - Effectively pipe cleaning with NO water minimum temporary piping and no circulation pumps

Benefits

  • - Use no liquid
  • - Safe, effective debris removal
  • - Effecient
  • - Conforms to line size changes
  • - Environment safe

Steam Blowing

  • - Steam pipng to rotating equipement must be cleaned to remove the debris that would cause turbine damage.
  • - Remove debris, sand, weld slag, rust and mill scale.
  • - cleans the entire steam path componenets, and a continuos blow for hours at near sonic velcities puts less stress on the piping and the boiler.

Benefits

  • - Low noise (80db or less)
  • - Continuous operation (less stress on equipement)
  • - Less cleaning time to get clean targets
  • - More cost effective than traditional steam blows.

FIN FAN COOLER (FOAM CLEANING)

Effectively cleaning fin fans is much more than just spraying a little soap and rinses a custom product formulated specifically for the fouling typically found clogging the fins, and cleans from both the top and bottom of the fans using a low pressure foam wash and rinse. By utilizing field proven products and cleaning procedures, MEC-GSP is able to consistently achieve superior cleaning results. The high quality of our fin fan cleaning services and the resulting improvement in heat transfer is specifically why the majority of the work for our fin fan customers is repeat business.
